Arise Milwaukee

Hi, I am Fr. Alejandro (Alex) Rodriguez, s.x. of the St. Francis Xavier Missionaries and Co-Spiritual Director for Arise Milwaukee. I was born in Mexico, and I was ordained in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2007.

I served as a missionary in The Philippines for almost 7 years. I worked there as the Vocation Director, Vicar, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in a poverty-stricken area of metro Manila, Spiritual Director, Collaborator with the campus ministry of different universities in the Philippines, and Rector of the Philosophy Seminary of the Xaverians in the Philippines.

I am presently working in the field of Vocations and the Hispanic Ministry in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, as well as being the Rector at the Xaverian mission center in Franklin, WI. I also collaborate with different parishes in their ministerial needs in Milwaukee’s metro area, as well as an adjunct lecturer at “Instituto de Liderazgo Pastoral,” Mundelein, and Knights of Columbus Chaplain.

My best pastimes are: photography, painting, cycling, cooking, puzzles, plays, ballet, and classic music. Even though I am sort of outgoing, I love my solitude and time for reading.
